Come Prepared

Tech Summit includes full-day sessions, hands-on hackathon work, dinners and social events. If you are traveling to Brazil, use this checklist to arrive ready for the entire week.

Work & Build

For sessions and the hackathon

  • Your work laptop and charger for technical sessions, project execution and final demos.
  • Required corporate access configured before arrival: VPN, MFA and the tools your team expects to use.
  • Headphones and a reusable bottle for focused work and long agenda days.
  • Presentation assets or adapters your team may need for the Friday hackathon demonstrations.
International Travel

Documents and connectivity

  • Passport and any required visa or entry documents. Verify Brazil's current requirements for your nationality before departure.
  • Travel insurance, prescriptions and essential medication in your carry-on luggage.
  • Mobile data or roaming plus an offline copy of the event address: Mercure Hotel, Sarah Kubitschek Room, 400 Rua da Bandeira, Tibery, Uberlândia.
  • A payment card enabled for international use and a small backup payment option.
Power in Brazil

Adapters and electronics

  • Brazil uses Type N electrical outlets. Bring a reliable plug adapter if your devices use another standard.
  • Check every charger for 100–240V support. Outlet shape and electrical voltage are separate considerations.
  • Bring a power bank for travel days, evening activities and photo sharing.
  • Label important equipment and keep valuable electronics in your carry-on.

Comfort for the full week

  • Smart-casual layers and comfortable shoes for sessions, office activities and dinners.
  • Running shoes or athletic sneakers for the park run, soccer and other outdoor team activities.
  • A light jacket for cooler mornings, evenings and air-conditioned rooms.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses and lip balm. August is typically dry, so hydration and sun protection matter.
  • Check the forecast shortly before flying and adjust your packing to current conditions.
NOTE Keep one change of clothes, medication, travel documents and essential work equipment in your carry-on in case checked baggage is delayed.
